WhatsApp Integration

Prerequisites

• •A Meta for Developers account
• •A verified WhatsApp Business Account with a phone number added
• •An approved message template (required for sending messages outside the 24-hour session window)

Step 1 — Create a Meta App

1. 1Go to developers.facebook.com/apps/create and create a Business type app.
2. 2In your app dashboard, click Add Product and select WhatsApp.
3. 3Under WhatsApp → API Setup, note your Phone Number ID.
4. 4Generate a Permanent Access Token via System Users in your Business Manager (recommended over temporary tokens).

Step 2 — Create a Message Template

1. 1In WhatsApp Manager, go to Account Tools → Message Templates and click Create Template.
2. 2Choose category Utility, give it a name (e.g. archcenter_notification), and write the message body.
3. 3Submit for review. Meta typically approves utility templates within a few minutes.
4. 4Note the exact template name once approved.

Step 3 — Save in ArchCenter

1. 1Go to Integrations and open the WhatsApp card.
2. 2Enter your Phone Number ID, Access Token, and Template Name.
3. 3Toggle Active, click Save, then Test with a real WhatsApp number to confirm delivery.
